Editorial Photography of Inspiring TechWomen Events

TechWomen is one of our favorite clients and projects since 2012 when we began to document and tell the story of these inspiring group of women, around 90 this year from 19 countries such as Egypt, Lebanon, Rwanda, Uzbekistan, Cameroon, Kenya, and Kyrgyzstan, who come to the San Francisco Bay Area for a 5-week entrepreneurial mentorship program.

Last week we photographed their visit to the Golden Gate Bridge and to Twitter for the Cultural Kickoff event, where the Emerging Leaders gave presentations about their countries that are informative, inspiring, and fun.

With our Editorial approach of doing Portraits and Photo-Journalism, we capture this U.S.A. State Department funded program empowering and connecting the next generation of women leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) from Africa, Central Asia, and the Middle East by providing them the access and opportunity needed to advance their careers, pursue their dreams, and inspire women and girls in their communities through mentorship at companies such as Google, Microsoft, Linkedin, eBay, and Juniper.

During the next couple of weeks we will be documenting Emerging Leaders at the companies they’re interning at, at the Pitch Event where several countries will be presenting business ideas, and at the Community Celebration.
